How to participate in FOAM’s Holiday Treasure Hunt 🔍
Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned cartographer, this guide will help you get started.
To celebrate the holiday season, FOAM is collaborating with Blockcities, to bring you FOAM’s Holiday Treasure Hunt 🎁.
The Foamspace team selected 10 points of interest in the most popular areas of the FOAM Map that are not yet registered. Each weekday between December 17 and 28, a riddle describing one of the locations will be released. The first cartographer to add the correct location to the FOAM Map will receive an architecture-themed digital collectable (NFT).
Participate in 3 easy steps from December 17:
- Solve one of the riddles on FOAM’s Twitter for a point of interest (POI) not currently registered on the FOAM Map.
- Add the POI to the FOAM Map.
- Join the conversation on the FOAM community forum.
That’s it! If you’re the first to correctly solve the riddle you will unlock the architecture-themed digital collectable 🎁. It may take up to a day to be sent to your Ethereum address. We will publish the winner on twitter shortly after.

What is the FOAM Map?
The FOAM Map is an open source registry of points of interest with secure, community-driven verification. A point of interest, or POI, is a location in the physical world that someone might find useful — anything from an art museum, your favorite cafe on the corner, to a company’s new warehouse and everything in between.
The FOAM Map is a blockchain-based token curated registry. This is just a fancy way of saying cartographers use FOAM tokens to come to agree on which POIs should be included in the FOAM Map without the need for a central gatekeeper.
How do I solve the riddle?
A riddle is a word puzzle that is solved for a statement or phrase. In FOAM’s Holiday Treasure Hunt, each riddle hides 1 of 10 different points of interest not yet registered on the FOAM Map. To solve the riddle, you can use whatever intellectual or digital tools are at your disposal.
